MLM Companies & their pushy minions

Has anyone of your friends or acquaintances joined some random company to make extra cash while sitting at home? As soon as they join, they start busting your chops to sign up and buy products through them. Some companies even push you, the customer to join as an employee. These my friends are called Multi Level Marketing Companies. I won't sit here and tell you the boring details of these people on a deep level, if you are unfamiliar with what I am referring to, Google it.

Now, I know a few women who are Arbonne representatives. Nice ladies, in fact one of these ladies is so cool, she doesn't push any product on me, or even ask me to be an employee and push products on people I know. However, I have other acquaintances who just don't know when to stop hounding me.

One time, years ago, this one girl who was a friend of a friend got into Arbonne, and wanted me to test their skin care line. Some anti aging garbage. Now me being a product junky I was intrigued, but since I was used to companies sending me stuff complimentary to try and review, I was not about to drop $300 on the entire Arbonne anti aging skincare line. So, she said that she would let me borrow her anti aging skincare set for a week and then I could tell her what I thought.

Wait a minute, you want me to test skin care for under seven days, and you think I will be amazed? That was saying A LOT, but me being the skin care connoisseur that I am, I knew that would not be enough to form an opinion on these products. IF this chick was actually good at her job, she would have know it takes about four weeks for you to see results with any skincare that you use in general.

I still took the products for the week, tried them and then told her just what I told you guys above. I could not give my opinion because it takes up to four weeks to see how the skin takes to the products. Less than a week was not sufficient enough. She was not impressed. Oh well, I won't slander my own integrity just because you want to promote a product just to make your self coin. Then she tried to get me on board with working there and I said, are you crazy? I have an office job, that allows me to work from home and I make well over 45K a year, why would I leave that for this garbage? (Arbonne employees don't make salary's especially when you start off) Again she was stunned.

At that point on I was not impressed with anyone approaching me from Arbonne trying to recruit me to be on their team. Fuck their team. Now, what I will say there are a few products I do enjoy from Arbonne, and I have in past repurchased them for health reasons. However, I am not one to sit here and tell you that you need to join or buy what I buy, because everyone has different health concerns and different budgets. For the most part, I like their protein powders because they don't hurt my tummy. There vegan, and easy on the stomach to digest. I maybe purchase those powders once a year because they last me all year. So I don't go nuts buying stuff from them.

My current Arbonne representative is a nice girl, but man is she fucking annoying. I mentioned to her once I was thinking of placing an order for some supplements, and she would not leave me alone. "Did you buy it yet?", "Did you buy it yet?" , "Well when you buy it let me know". Oh my fucking GOD. Let me be very clear, if you work for an MLM company and your reading this, these comments above to a customer just drives the customer away!!!!!!!!

Then we have the other MLM companies that are strictly just make up and body care, like Monet, Maskara, or Avon, or Mary Kay. A lot of these representatives barely know how to apply foundation or eye shadow properly to begin with. Some representatives are trying to market to the new mothers to show 'hey its quick and easy throw on and out the door'. Listen to me, no matter what make up you buy, if you don't blend that shit in properly it will look awful. If you do not take care of your skin your make up will look horrific. Drug store make up works just as well as Sephora make up, there is no need to buy makeup from a special representative because you believe whats in it is "Clean". By the way Sephora has a "Clean" beauty product list in case you would rather purchase from there and get points for it at the same time, just saying.

Also if you are that strict on what you want to put on your face and body, then why would you be putting anything on your face at all if you are trying to live a "Clean" life?

Do not get me wrong, those who chose to live the clean life, good for you. I will be real with you all and say, if I had the mentality to do so I would. But truthfully I can't because I love trying all different kinds of beauty products. The Clean life just does not fit me.

Bottom line is you don't need to buy clean beauty from these highway robbery companies when you can go to the drugstore or mall and get what you need there or online without someone harassing you to place an order. I may get some heat for this but it is the most annoying when your sitting in a funeral and your Arbonne representative messages you inquiring when your planning on placing that order. Yes, that's happened to me recently and I wanted to punch a fucking wall. I get she did not know what I was doing, however the constant nagging of when when when, is too much. At one point I was seriously considering blocking her ass. These products are not cheap, products are like $50 and up. So your bill can add up quickly.

So, moral of the story, be ware of these type of companies. Do not suck yourself into their manipulative ways. If you chose to purchase items from these companies, stand your ground if you get pressured to purchase anything more than what you need. Do not let them win!

Peace, Love, Joy
